About Simon Tudor

Experienced fire safety consultant, trainer and expert witness

BSc (Hons) APAEWE FSIDip Tech IOSH MIFSM

Simon Tudor founded London Fire Consultants after a career in the Ministry of Defence. Before establishing the business, he was responsible for fire safety in demanding environments including oil tankers and the transport of explosives.

He trained at the Fire Service College, Warsash Fire Fighting School and BRE, and has built a career focused on practical fire safety, compliance, risk reduction and defensible advice.

Simon has also appeared as a fire safety expert in media interviews and has worked on projects involving commercial, residential, public sector and healthcare clients.

Career experience includes high consequence environments where fire safety decisions had direct operational impact.

Specialist training

Trained through recognised providers including the Fire Service College, Warsash Fire Fighting School and BRE.

Broad sector exposure

Project work has included residential, retail, transport, healthcare and commercial environments.

Public credibility

Has appeared as a fire safety expert in public facing media work and technical commentary.

Professional profile

Simon has specialised in several areas of fire safety, including residential fire safety management, dangerous substances and explosive atmospheres, asbestos and fire door surveying.

His project background includes work connected with WeWork, Liberty of London, SuperDry, C2C, Voice of America, Dexters and the NHS. That range matters because it shows exposure to very different building types, occupancy risks and management standards.

This is not just a classroom profile. It is rooted in applied fire safety work, live consultancy and regulated training.

Outside work, Simon spends time on his canal boat on the Thames and enjoys photography and food.

Training shaped by practice

Our courses are informed by live consultancy work, not just textbook summaries. That helps organisations train staff against the kinds of fire safety issues they actually face.

Suitable for different sectors

We work with local authorities, schools, care providers, policing organisations, commercial businesses and technical service firms. That range helps us adapt delivery to the setting, risk profile and learner role.

Credible and usable learning

Clients need more than attendance certificates. They need training that improves understanding, supports compliance and gives people practical confidence in their responsibilities.
